The Explorer II is designed for people who work in caves, polar regions, and other places where it is impossible to determine the time, and is structured around a 24-hour display of the time.
The fixed bezel has 24-hour indices, and the 24-hour hand extends to the outermost edge of the dial, allowing the wearer to check morning and afternoon at a glance.
The GMT-Master II movement is also capable of independent correction of the short hand and dual time display by the 24-hour hand and the short hand.
