Ref. 16710, the second generation of the GMT Master II, was introduced in 1988, replacing its predecessor Ref. 16760.
In addition to displaying the time in two time zones, the GMT-Master II has an independent correction function for the short hand, allowing the time to be displayed in three time zones simultaneously.
After the production of the GMT Master Ref. 16700 was discontinued in 2000, the two-tone blue/red and black monochrome bezel that existed only on Ref. 16700 was succeeded by Ref. 16710, and Ref. 16710 is now available in three types of bezels: blue/red and black monochrome in addition to the conventional two-tone black/red. Ref.16710 is now available in three types of bezels: blue, red, and black, in addition to the conventional two-tone black and red.
