The Explorer was developed based on the Oyster Perpetual that was provided to the British Everest Expedition in the 1950s.
This is Ref. 124270, which replaced the previous generation Ref. 214270 in 2021, and made a big splash by returning to the traditional 36mm diameter from the 39mm diameter that had been maintained for the previous 10 years.
Equipped with the Cal. 3230, an in-house movement boasting a power reserve of approximately 70 hours, the watch boasts first-class practical performance as a modern mechanical watch while remaining true to its style.
