Jack Heuer, who became president of Heuer in 1962, a company renowned for its sports timekeeping through the production of superior dashboard clocks and stopwatches, released a new generation of chronographs in 1963 in anticipation of the coming age of the wristwatch chronograph, which is now TAG Heuer's flagship Carrera. The Carrera, TAG Heuer's flagship, was born.
Named after the legendary Carrera Panamericana, the "most grueling race of all time," in which 27 people lost their lives in just five events, this collection is a masterpiece of Jack Heuer's passion for motor sports that has transcended time and fascinated people around the world.
